Throughout his many years in the visual arts, renowned portrait photographer Omar Cruz has mastered his craft of creating unique and distinctive portraits that communicate his subjects’ story in every image.

Born in New York, and raised in Puerto Rico, Omar is a true blend of worlds. His signature style is a contemporary blend of unique moments and classic portraiture. He started to experiment early on with light and shadow, and eventually mastered that intuitive vision which makes every photograph much more than simply a good composition.

Cruz has worked with notable global figures including President Obama, ‪Ricky Martin, Rosalia, Daddy Yankee, Alejandro Sanz, ‪J Balvin, Celia Cruz, Juanes, Marc Anthony, Residente, Camila Cabello, and Bad Bunny to name a few. His images have been featured in major magazines around the world and his photographs are in the permanent collection of the GRAMMY museum.
